Who We Are
Our mission is to create opportunities to explore, enjoy, and enhance Tehama County's natural resources, and to preserve them for future generations.
Formed in 2014, the Tehama Conservation Fund (TCF) is the nonprofit organization associated with the Resource Conservation District of Tehama County (RCDTC). The two organizations share the same board of directors and work together to promote conservation in Tehama County.
TCF recognizes that conserving natural resources depends on the combined efforts of private landowners and the broader public. Private landowners and citizens alike play an important role in supporting the responsible use of natural resources today so they remain available to future generations.
To advance this shared stewardship, TCF works to:
- strengthen a culture of conservation across both private lands and the broader community
- support private landowners in maintaining and enhancing conservation values on their lands
- involve citizens through engagement in conservation initiatives
- contribute to the long-term stewardship of both wild and working lands for future generations
TCF’s programs are provided to our community through donations and grant funds.
